Police searching for person of interest in Sheridan Blvd. hit-and-run

DENVER – Police continue to look for the suspect accused of hitting a pedestrian with their vehicle earlier this month and fleeing the scene near a gas station on North Sheridan Blvd.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers released a bulletin with photos of. A person of interest and vehicle of interest in the crash, which happened just before 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 16 at the Stinker gas station located at 1015 North Sheridan Blvd.

The bulletin said that video from the gas station showed the vehicle and driver, likely a white 2014-18 Toyota RAV4 or similar Toyota SUV, hit the pedestrian but did not stop or summon help before driving around the back side of the building and heading south on Sheridan.

The vehicle would have damage on its front passenger side from the crash and is missing a fog light, police said. Th ebulletin said the person pictured was inside the vehicle when the crash occurred.

Police said the victim in the crash suffered serious injuries. Anyone with information about the vehicle or person of interest is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
