DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is looking for suspects in a series of burglaries in the Highlands Ranch neighborhood early Saturday morning.
Deputies have apprehended two suspects and believe there are three additional armed suspects at large in the area of MacArthur Ranch Road and South Quebec Street.
Deputies issued a “Code Red” for residents in the area, asking them to shelter in place while authorities searched for the three.
Around 9:15 a.m., the sheriff’s office tweeted that they had lifted the shelter in place order after failing to apprehend the three remaining suspects, who are described as Hispanic males in their late teens.
Deputies believe the burglary suspects struck several homes in the neighborhood. They have yet to have a total number of homes targeted in the spree.
