Denver police say missing 8-year-old has been found safe

UPDATE (6:36 a.m.) — The missing 8-year-old out of Denver has been found and is safe, according to Denver police.

Tyrone Campbell with the Denver Police Department said there are no other details on how she is found. Police are still unraveling what happened.


DENVER — Police are searching for an 8-year-old girl who was last seen Sunday night near a community swimming pool in Denver.

Nehahriyah Rodriguez-Vigil was wearing a blue T-shirt, reddish or pink shorts and pink sandals. She is about 45 pounds and 3 feet tall.

At 6:15 p.m. Sunday, she was seen near the Mestizo-Curtis Pool at 32nd Street and Champa Street.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued an endangered missing alert for Rodriguez-Vigil around 2:25 a.m. Monday.

If you see the girl, authorities ask that you call 911.
