LAKEWOOD, Colo. – A Bear Creek High School student is in police custody after allegedly taking a gun to school.
Lakewood police said they retrieved the gun after a school resource officer received a tip that the 16-year-old student had the weapon with him at school.
At no point was anybody threatened with the gun, police said.
The student was taken into custody and will face a number of charges, including possession of a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a juvenile and possession of a weapon on school grounds.
