Police investigating after man dies of gunshot wound in Aurora's Southlands neighborhood

AURORA, Colo. – A man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Aurora’s Southlands neighborhood, police said.

The shooting happened Saturday morning around 4:22 a.m. in the 24500 block of East Applewood Circle.

Officers found a man with a gunshot wound when they arrived at the home. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Police said they are treating the incident as a suspicious death.

“All involved parties are known, and there is not a danger to the community,” APD spokesperson Crystal McCoy said.
