AURORA, Colo. -- Aurora Police shot at an armed man wanted on a parole violation Tuesday afternoon. Those shots missed, and the suspect surrendered soon after, police said later on.
An Aurora Police Officer originally responded to the 11600 block of Montview Boulevard to arrest the unidentified suspect when the suspect pulled out a handgun, police say.
The officer then fired shots, just before 1 p.m., missing the wanted man. Police say no one suffered injury during the shooting, but they used a Taser to take the man into custody.
Police say officers rushed the man to a nearby hospital for minor injuries. Officers later booked him into jail.
An investigation is ongoing.
