Police say two men wanted on felony warrants were shot by a bounty hunter in Fort Collins on Wednesday.
The shooting happened at 5:15 p.m. as the bounty hunter, Vonshay McCarther, was searching for one of the men when a vehicle drove at him, police say.
McCarther told investigators he fired multiple rounds in the direction of the vehicle. Police say two uninvolved witnesses were with McCarther when the shooting happened.
Soon after the shooting, police were called about two men arriving at Harmony Urgent Care with nonlife-threatening wounds who were then transferred to Medical Center of the Rockies. Authorities say their injuries were consistent with the shooting.
Thursday morning, the pair left the hospital without checking out or otherwise notifying staff, police say.
Authorities say the men have been identified as Rogelio “Roger” Sanchez, 24, and Lupe Sanchez, 32. Both are wanted on felony warrants.
