DENVER – Police on Thursday released photos of a vehicle they believe is connected to suspects in a shooting on Aug. 9 at a park that left nine people hurt, including six juveniles.

The shooting happened during a family gathering on the afternoon of Aug. 9 at a park near West Byers Place and South Pecos Street.

The shooting injured nine people, including a toddler and five other juveniles. No arrests have been made.

The Crime Stoppers bulletin issued Thursday says police are looking for suspects wanted in connection with a late-90s or early-00s model silver Honda Civic that appears to have some slight hood damage.

Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen said at a news conference two days after the shooting, and amid a host of other gun violence in the city, that officers and investigators were having trouble getting witnesses and the people who were shot to cooperate.

"We need all the assistance and cooperation we can get," Pazen said. "That is completely unacceptable to take place in our city. We need family, friends and witness cooperation to hold these people accountable."

Anyone with information about the Civic shown in the bulletin, or any people associated with the vehicle who might be suspects in the shooting, to contact Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. People can remain anonymous and earn a reward of up to $2,000 if the tip leads to a person’s arrest and conviction.
