DENVER — A pedestrian was struck and killed on U.S. Hwy 285 in southwest Denver Monday night.
Denver police tweeted that officers were investigating a fatal auto vs. pedestrian crash on the eastbound lanes of the freeway near the South Sheridan Boulevard exit ramp.

Police say the driver stayed on the scene. They have not provided additional information regarding the crash. It's not clear why the victim was on the freeway.
Police say eastbound U.S. 285 is closed from Sheridan to Wadsworth.
