DENVER — Police investigated a deadly crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian on Interstate 25 Friday morning.
The crash happened at 1:18 a.m. Friday between Hampden Avenue and I-225 in the southbound lanes, police said.
A female died at the scene, according to Doug Schepman, a spokesman for the Denver Police Department.
There was no information on the age of the woman or how she came to be on the interstate.
The driver of the vehicle that struck her remained on scene, Schepman said.
Police closed all southbound lanes of I-25 at Hampden Avenue shortly before 2:30 a.m. to investigate.
The ramp from Hampden Avenue to I-25 was also closed.
All lanes reopened at 4:45 a.m.
