An Air Force veteran from Parker says he’s alive today because of two strangers who rushed him to the hospital in an ATV on Saturday.

Nick Bryce was off-roading near Breckenridge when he started to experience symptoms of a chronic medical condition.

“I was passing out," he said. "I was going in and out, and all I could do was just break my truck in half to get us down that hill."

He said he had to speed down the rough North Fork Swan River trail, ruining his truck in the process.

At the bottom of the trail, some fellow off-roaders were having lunch. One of them was a man Bryce only remembers as Ryan. Ryan and another man named Mike loaded Bryce into an ATV and drove him to the hospital in Dillon.

“(Ryan) said, 'I’m military too'" Bryce said. "We said a prayer. He made me keep talking."

By the time Bryce was released from the hospital, the good Samaritans who he says saved his life were gone. Hoping to thank Ryan and Mike, he decided to post a message on the Craigslist ATV sales section.

“I don’t even have social media. I just thought like-minded people — we look for parts,” he said.

Bryce said he just wants a chance to thank the men he considers heroes.

He said he hopes he can offer his thanks, and they can have a beer.
