Overnight closures of southbound I-25 in Larkspur begin Sunday

LARKSPUR, Colo. – Southbound Interstate 25 near Larkspur will be shut down overnight for several days, beginning Sunday, as crews work to demolish the Spruce Mountain Bridge.

The closures will run from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, with traffic diverted onto Spruce Mountain Road at Exit 173 in the Larkspur area.

Motorist will detour on Spruce Mountain Road to Upper Lake Gulch Road, and then back to I-25.

The work is part of the ongoing I-25 South Gap project, which will widen the highway to three lanes along the 18 miles between Monument and Castle Rock.
