FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- The co-founders of the smart device protection company OtterBox announced this week they will commit $8.1 million to Colorado State University.
Nancy and Curt Richardson, who pioneered the successful Colorado-based company, announced the donation would go towards a new design center for the school.
The new center, which is slated to be a 40,000-square-foot building, will be named the Richardson Design Center, after its donors.
A donation of just over $8 million is expected to cover about half of the building's price tag.
OtterBox was founded in 1998.
