LONGMONT, Colo. – Oskar Blues Brewery is pausing its beer production in order to make cans of water for those affected by the remnants of Hurricane Harvey in Houston.
The Longmont-based brewery is halting its beer production for 20 hours, which will allow the company to product 88,000 cans of water.
The cans are donated by Colorado-based Ball Corporation.
A representative for Oskar Blues said the cans of water will arrive in Houston by the end of the week.
Other breweries around the country are doing the same. Anheuser-Busch is sending more than 100,000 cans of water to Texas and MillerCoors shipped 50,000 cans.
