DENVER — Santa Claus will write back to Denver children who send letters and their wish lists to the North Pole this year.

The United States Postal Service is expanding Operation Santa to Denver for this first time this year.

Children are invited to write a letter, including their wish lists, to Santa and send it to: Santa Claus, 123 Elf Road, North Pole, 88888. Include a postage stamp and a return address.

The letters are then blinded for any identifying information and uploaded to the www.USPSOperationSanta.com website. Then, a member of the community or a postal employee can open the website and search for a letter to respond to. When they find one, they will purchase one of the gifts on the wishlist, wrap it and ship it using a unique barcode by Dec. 21.

The gifters won’t use any identifying information in an effort to keep the spirit of Santa alive.
