AURORA, Colo. – Police are investigating a shooting in Aurora that left one person dead and another with life-threatening injuries.
The shooting took place near the intersection of 14th Avenue and Clinton Street around 9 a.m.
When police arrived to the scene, they found two men who had been shot in an alley between Clinton Street and Dallas Street.
An officer performed CPR on both victims until rescue crews arrived and took the two men to a nearby hospital, where one of them was pronounced dead.
Aurora police say a person of interest in the shooting was taken into custody at the scene, and that the department was not looking for any more suspects.
