ESTES PARK, Colo – A off-duty park volunteer died when he fell while descending from Mount Lady Washington in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Park officials said Ken Teselle, 73, of Estes Park, took a fall above Chasm Lake Wednesday morning. Bystanders performed CPR on Teselle until medical crews arrived.

Rangers were on scene in 15 minutes and also administered CPR but Teselle was pronounced dead.

Due to the weather and location, crews were not able to recover Teselle’s body Wednesday. Rangers stayed in the area overnight and plan to recover his body Thursday.

Teselle's death is the second at the park this week. Rangers said a woman's body was found near the North Inlet Trailhead Tuesday morning.
