AURORA, Colo. – A sweeping crime is infecting ATMs and gas pumps across Aurora, but the latest find has detectives rattled.

Aurora Police found a credit card skimmer device Friday installed on a drive-up ATM at the TCF Bank located at 15350 East 6th Avenue. Police say the device could have been installed on the machine as early as Thursday.

Although police did not divulge much details about the device, nor did they release a photo, they did say the skimmer is unlike anything they have seen before.

Friday’s discovery is just the latest in a series of skimmers popping up around the city. The devices were found at the ATM inside the Cornerstar on May 6 and at a pump at a 7-Eleven on May 9.

In mid-April, Aurora police discovered there had been a skimmer placed on a pump at the Valero station on South Buckley Road.

Police say if you used the drive-up ATM at the TCF Bank and found suspicious activity on your credit cards, you can complete an online police report, or you can call Fraud Intake Officer Larson at 303-739-6176.
