More smash-and-grab burglaries were reported in the Sheridan-Englewood area overnight, adding to the dozens across the Denver area in the last month.

At least two businesses were damaged in the River Point shopping center. The glass door was smashed at Truck Logic, near West Hampden Avenue and South Windmere Street. Sheridan police say the suspect targeted cash. There was also damage to a Verizon store.

The suspect in the Verizon burglary used a rock to break the glass on the front door then stole several phones from a display and some phone accessories.

Sheridan Police released a photo from surveillance video showing the suspect inside the store.  Police say the suspect is 5' 6" to 5' 11" with a thin build, wearing a distinctive purple and green winter jacket and gloves.

It is too early to know whether these break-ins are related to other recent smash-and-grab burglaries in and around Denver.

There have been more than 30 smash-and-grabs in and around Denver since the beginning of December.

Nine businesses in Englewood were hit by smash-and-grab burglars early Sunday.

The shops broken into Sunday are on South Broadway, between East Yale and East Floyd avenues. Police said they believe the burglars hit at about 2:30 a.m.

Police said the burglars threw rocks through glass windows and doors and then targeted cash registers.
