ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The pandemic has left a mark on the economy and it will take some time for a full rebound to happen, but there are signs of new businesses being born in the post-shutdown world.

Among those is a tap house in Englewood called The Filling Station. They hope to open in August and say COVID-19 only slowed them down a few weeks. They're actually thankful other delays pushed their open past the shutdown.

“It would’ve weighed on us more than now if we got open five months ago, six months ago. We’d probably be bankrupt by now, but it’s still weighs on us,” owner Andy Hawker said.

The city of Englewood says they've seen an uptick in business license activity, which is a very positive sign moving forward.
