New car registrations in Colorado continue to spike

Posted

DENVER – Colorado’s hot economy continues to show no sign of a slowdown as data released Wednesday regarding new car registration appears to affirm.

New car and light truck registrations in Colorado increased 8.4 percent in June 2017 versus a year earlier, according to the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association (CADA).

Year-to-date totals for new vehicle registrations in Colorado were 100,251 versus 95,594. CADA says the continued increase in new vehicle registration in the state bucks a national trend of declining vehicle sales.

The state’s growth and low unemployment rate is contributing to the spike in new car sales, CADA said.
