Three people went to the hospital Tuesday afternoon following a house fire in Adams County.
Neighbors say they heard an explosion, then came outside to find 20-foot flames shooting out of the roof of the mobile home in Thornton Mobile Home Park.
The call came in around 12:45 and crews spent more than an hour fighting the flames at the park off East 78th Avenue near Washington Street.
Neighbors say an elderly couple lives in the trailer.
“They pulled a lady out of the trailer and she was not moving. Her feet looked kind of burned and they laid her in front and they were doing CPR,” Christina Perry said.
Two of the victims are stable. The other’s condition is considered serious.
Firefighters aren’t sure how the fire started.
