NEDERLAND, Colo. — A 68-year-old Nederland man was arrested Friday after investigators found hundreds of sexually explicit images and videos of children at his home.
On Wednesday evening, the Nederland Marshal’s Office announced that in October 2019, investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Investigators went to work and eventually focused on the home of John Hamilton Williams along the 100 block of Barker Road in Nederland.
Investigators seized computers, cell phones and other devices from the home, the marshal's office said. Through a forensic examination, they discovered hundreds of sexually explicit images and videos of children ages 2 to 15.
As a result, Williams was arrested on Friday.
He was booked into the Boulder County Jail on a sexual exploitation of a child charge. On Tuesday, he was released on a $50,000 personal recognizance bond.
