The National Western Stock Show set a record this weekend for the largest opening day attendance -- 50,654 fans. That's increase of seven percent from last year.
The opening day line-up included three rodeo performances, a BBQ competition and other events and activities.
"What a tremendous show of support by the Denver Metro community and Stock Show fans throughout the region on this, the 110th opening day of Stock Show," said Paul Andrews, President & CEO of the National Western Stock Show.
The 2016 National Western Stock Show will continue through January 24 in Denver.
