UNINCORPORATED ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. People living in six apartments were displaced after a car barreled into their building.

The crash happened around 2:28 a.m. Wednesday at the Country Club Villas on East Florida Avenue near Parker Road.

A 2013 Nissan sedan driven by a man crashed into a space which separates two apartments.

A woman in one of the apartments was injured when the car crashed into her unit.

Both the woman and the driver were transported to the hospital, according to Trooper Josh Lewis with the Colorado State Patrol.

There was no information available on the severity of their injuries.

The driver was naked and screaming "Get me out of here," two residents told Denver7 Daryl Orr.

"Well we was in there dead sleep and I thought that the ceiling had caved in. Then everything was just light dark and I was like oh oh and then I started screaming cuz I heard somebody screaming 'get me out, let me out, let me out'. Me not knowing there was a person in the car, so I'm just thankful to God that nobody got killed," resident Angela Perry said.

"We just moved in last Saturday. So we've only been here a week and just got our furniture delivered last Saturday and so everything is a wreck," Carlo Perry said.

The impact of the crash broke the stove open. according to Perry.

"They pulled the guy out of the car. He was butt naked running around the parking lot from what I understood. High or drunk or whatever, jumped in his car and peeled out and ran into the building. I just thank God we are all safe," said Carlo.

The State Patrol was investigating the crash.

People living in six apartments in the building were displaced due to the damage and structural concerns.

The Perrys were concerned because the crash happened so close to the Christmas holiday.

"I pray that Christmas is still on because we were going to have all seven of the kids and all 19 grandkids and the one great grand on the way to come over. Yeah, we were going to have a family Christmas but its not going to happen, not gonna happen," Angela said.
