1. Mueller investigation hits 1-year mark
Today marks one year since special counsel Robert Mueller was appointed to investigate Russian meddling in the 2016 election. During that time, Mueller has brought charges against 19 people and three companies.

2. Trump meeting with NATO leader
President Donald Trump will host the secretary general of NATO at the White House. Trump and Jens Stoltenberg are expected to talk about the United States' cost of defending our allies. Trump has criticized the amount the U.S. pays, saying other countries need to offer up more.

3. CDOT to talk about road spending
The Colorado Department of Transportation plans to outline how it wants to spend $1 billion to improve roads around the state over the next three years. Three of the major projects are already underway or are about to start, including express lanes on C-470, the controversial Central 70 project to widen and lower I-70 in Denver, as well as adding express lanes on I-25 from Johnston to Fort Collins.

4. A notable absence at the royal wedding
When Meghan Markle walks down the aisle to wed Prince Harry this weekend, her father won't be there to see it. In a statement, Markle said her father has decided not to attend the wedding. "I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health," she said in a written statement.

5. More storms possible this afternoon
It will be another beautiful, summer-like day across the Denver metro area. We'll see mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid-80s. A few widely scattered thunderstorms will be possible in the afternoon over northeastern Colorado.
