DENVER — Two people were seriously injured, including a motorcyclist and a pedestrian, in a series of crashes near U.S. 6 and Sheridan Boulevard Tuesday night.
The first incident involved a pedestrian crossing Sheridan Boulevard. A vehicle traveling on Sheridan struck the pedestrian, causing serious injuries. The vehicle stayed on scene.
Traffic on U.S. 6 was backed up following the Sheridan Crash. Minutes later, a motorcyclist in the westbound lanes of the highway lost control and crashed near the Federal Boulevard exit. The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police closed 6th Avenue following the second crash.
