DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. – A motorcyclist died in a three-vehicle crash Monday afternoon near Franktown.
The crash happened on Highway 83 just south of Highway 86 just before 3 p.m.
The motorcyclist involved in the crash was thrown from the bike and died at the scene. A helmet was found at the crash site, but it is unclear if the motorcyclist was wearing it at the time of the crash.
The roadway reopened around 6:30 p.m.
