LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- Nobody imagines the feeling of losing one child, much less two at the same time due to gun violence.

“I can't even describe what it's been like. There's nothing I can say. It's a never-ending nightmare,” mother Frankie Wikoff said.

Wikoff lost her sons 18-year-old Damian and 17-year-old Dillon.

They were shot and killed in the Walmart parking lot by Colfax and Wadsworth in Lakewood one week ago.

“It was senseless. It was pointless. Over, what? A couple bucks and pocket change,” she said.

She says the boys were two peas in a pod and loving people.

Police are still looking for the person responsible.

“I have faith. I have trust. That what's supposed to come will come,” she said.

Now she's left planning two funerals. And her family is suffering as much as she is.

“To see my kids, my other kids suffering as much as they are and seeing the pain on their face, it just makes me want to shrivel up and die,” Wikoff said.

She doesn't want this to happen to another parent and has a message for them.

“I always thought, 'not my problem, not me.' And that's where the problem is. Here I am, and I never would've fathomed,” she said.

A cry she hopes every parent hears to bring an end to the violence.
