The Denver metro area woke up to a blanket of snow Tuesday -- and it's not over yet. For travelers flying out of Denver International Airport, that could mean some delays and cancelations.
So far, a total of 136 flights have been canceled at the airport as a winter storm makes it way through Colorado. DIA has received a total of 11.3 inches of snow since Monday.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) lifted its traffic management program for Denver Tuesday afternoon.
The airport was returning to normal operations.
Travelers could expect to stay on the plane longer as airlines continued to deice Tuesday afternoon.
"The airport expects to be busy for the next day or so as passengers rebook flights," airport spokesperson Heath Montgomery warned.
Frontier Airlines is reporting about 20 flights will be canceled on Tuesday. For more information, click here.
More than 500 flights were canceled at DIA on Monday.
