Moose illegally killed in Teller County

TELLER COUNTY, Colo. -- Officials are asking for the public's help to find a moose poacher.

The bull moose was found dead near County Road 3 in Teller County, northwest of Divide.

It's believed the moose was killed between Saturday and Sunday morning.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is asking anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity in the area to contact District Wildlife Managers Tim Kroening at (719) 227-5281 or Phil Gurule at (719) 227-5283.

Tipsters who want remain anonymous can submit tips through Operation Game Thief by calling 1 (877) COLO-OGT (265-6648).
