JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — A man reported missing after not returning from a hike was found dead at Staunton State Park Wednesday, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
Steven Kost, 60, went hiking in the park, which is near Conifer, Tuesday around 9:30 a.m. and was expected home by 6 p.m. that day.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said Kost was found dead off a trail at the park Wednesday.
They're investigating the circumstances of Kost's death, but the sheriff's office said there is no threat to the public.
