DENVER — A missing 12-year-old boy out of Aurora and the subject of an Amber Alert issued Saturday was seen with his mom early Monday morning in Barstow, California, according to Aurora police.

APD tweeted a still from surveillance video purportedly showing Liam Sweezey and his mother, Nikki Sweezey, in the southern California town. Police said the pair vanished before officers arrived.

Colorado authorities issued an Amber Alert Saturday afternoon after Liam was picked up by his mother Friday and disappeared. The mother’s custody status is unclear.

Police said Liam requires medication, which he does not have. He has brown hair, brown eyes and is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 134 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a green shirt and green shorts. He was last seen along the 1600 block of S. Buckley Road in Aurora with Nikki around 11:30 p.m. on Friday.

Police believe he is traveling with Nikki in a 2010 light blue Honda Fit, with Colorado license plate number BVV-937.
