Masked bandit robs Wheat Ridge bank

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. – Police in Wheat Ridge are looking for a masked bandit who robbed a Bank of the West branch Friday.

The armed man walked into the bank, located at 7575 West 44th Avenue, around 11 a.m. wearing a hoodie, gloves and a Halloween mask.

From surveillance images, the masked bandit appeared to have pointed a gun at the teller during the course of the robbery. No one was injured.

The suspect fled the bank eastbound in light-colored van. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
