DENVER -- A marijuana dispensary in Denver was burglarized early Wednesday morning.
The Health Center on Colorado Boulevard, near Yale Avenue, was hit around 2:45 a.m. Denver police were nearby and responded shortly after. Those officers set up a perimeter and waited for a Metro Task Force to arrive.
Officers with the task force entered the dispensary with guns drawn and a canine at around 3:30 a.m. Denver7 was the first news outlet on-scene and the only station to capture the search.
Denver7 asked the owner about surveillance cameras in the store. The owner said the business is “compliant with city and state regulations." That means security cameras must be pointed at the cash registers and entrances and exits.
Police have not yet released any information on what was taken in the burglary or any information about the suspects.
