Bold burglars targeted a Denver marijuana grow, breaking into the business twice in four days. The owners believe the same group of people stole from the warehouse being used for cultivation.
Surveillance video from both incidents shows a black pickup truck pulling up to the warehouse. The truck has custom rims and is possibly a Dodge.
During the first break-in, two masked individuals forced their way into the building. Two other men without masks also ran into the warehouse.
They stole bags of processed marijuana and left before the police arrived. The owners believe they were inside for about 20 minutes.
Several people at the cultivation spoke to Denver7 on condition of anonymity because they are worried the suspects could come after them.
"To have somebody come in and just steal from you, steal such large quantities," said the vice president of operations.
Just days later, the two masked burglars came back in the same black pickup truck. This time they were in and out within four minutes. During the second break-in they got away with a lot more weed. Video shows the suspects dragging out a tarp full of product and stuffing it in the back of a truck.
"I mean, beyond our comprehension," he said. "We had not anticipated that they would literally be so brazen as to come back."
The person interviewed by Denver7 said he knows of several burglaries at grows and stores within the past week or so. Denver7 put in a request with police to check on reports of other possible crimes.
"The truck that hit us twice, we had the same truck coming back twice we’re now hearing reports that truck has been seen at other locations," said the vice president.
