DENVER — July marijuana sales in Colorado reached an all-time high.
Denver7 partner The Denver Post reports nearly $122.7 million in medical and recreational sales for the summer month.
The reportsshow data from the Colorado Department of Revenue shows a 27 percent increase from July 2015.
Including the record month of July, Colorado’s marijuana industry generated $720.4 million in sales for the first seven months of the year.
The taxes collected from retail pot sales through July totaled nearly $105.8 million, which will go toward school construction projects.
Last year, Colorado marijuana businesses sold more than $996 million in pot products.
