DENVER – Police in Denver are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found along the Cherry Creek near Speer Boulevard and West 14th Avenue.
Police were called to the scene around 6 a.m. Monday after a passerby on the Cherry Creek Trail discovered the man's body face down along the creek. The passerby called police from the King Soopers across the street.
Police are conducting a death investigation but have not said if the circumstances are suspicious. A dive team was dispatched to aid in removing the body from along the creek.
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will release the victim’s identity and cause of the death once an autopsy is completed.
