COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The epic incline up one of Colorado’s steepest peaks has reopened ahead of schedule and in time to work off those Thanksgiving Day meals.
Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services announced Wednesday the Manitou Incline Trail is now open.
The Manitou Incline had been closed for the past three months as crews made improvements to the trail, including stabilizing parts of the slope and improving drainage.
The $2 million project was expected to last for four months, but crews were able to complete the project ahead of schedule.
An official reopening celebration will take place on Friday, December 1 at 8 a.m. at the base of the Manitou Incline.
