Man, woman die after shooting in Aurora

AURORA, Colo. — A man and woman died in a shooting Thursday evening and Aurora police say they don't believe there are any outstanding suspects.

At 10:55 p.m. Thursday, officers with the Aurora Police Department (APD) responded to the 10600 block of E. Jewell Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man and woman, each with a gunshot wound.

Both were transported to a hospital, where they died, police said.

A weapon was found at the scene. Police said they do not believe there are any outstanding suspects.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office will determine the cause and manner of their death, as well as their identities.

Staff with APD's Major Crimes/Homicide Unit are investigating the shooting.

Denver7 has asked police if they believe this was a murder-suicide, but has not heard back yet.
