Man dead, woman fighting for her life after shooting at Parker apartment complex

PARKER, Colo. — A man is dead and a woman is fighting for her life after a shooting at a Parker apartment complex Tuesday evening.

Around 5:30 p.m., officers with the Parker Police Department were called out to the Stone Canyon Apartments, located at 19255 Cottonwood Drive, for a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officers also located a man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect was immediately located and arrested without incident, police said. He was later identified as 27-year-old Cameron Dial.

Dial was taken to the Douglas County Jail on charges of second degree murder.

The department said it will not release any additional information at this time as detectives continue to investigate the case.
