Man caught on camera setting multiple fires on Auraria Campus

DENVER -- Auraria Campus Police are looking for a man caught on surveillance video setting multiple fires around campus early Thursday morning.

The fires were identified and extinguished without any property damage or injury. The fires were set at the east exterior of the Boulder Creek building, north exterior of the Arts Building, on Colfax Avenue, and near 5th and Walnut Streets.

The fires were all in landscaping or grass. Auraria Campus Police and the Denver Fire Department have responded and are investigating.

The suspect is described as a black male, in all black clothing, with tan or brown shoes with a shaved head or close haircut. He was wearing a black or grey sling backpack and glasses or a visor. He is around 5-feet-7-inches tall with a thin build.
