DENVER – The 18-year-old man accused of shooting three people, killing two of them, last week in the Villa Park neighborhood was formally charged Tuesday with multiple felonies, including second-degree murder.

Angel Gallegos, 18, was arrested late last week for the May 30 shooting, which killed 16-year-old Anthony Martinez and 25-year-old Raymond Flores and left a third man with serious injuries.

The shooting happened in the 600 block of North Perry Street. The Denver District Attorney’s Office says law enforcement still isn’t releasing Gallegos’s mug shot as the investigation into the case continues. Additionally, the probable cause statement for his arrest is still under seal.

Gallegos faces formal charges of two counts of second-degree murder, one count of criminal attempt to commit second-degree murder, one count of first-degree assault and a sentence enhancer for a crime of violence.

Gallegos is next due in court Thursday morning for an advisement hearing.
