Broncos' lottery winners buy Super Bowl tickets

Broncos season-ticket holders who were lucky enough to have their names drawn in a Super Bowl ticket lottery have until Friday to buy their tickets at face value: $1,500.

"I'm going to be rooting loud so people in Colorado can hear me," said Chris Novak, who headed to Sports Authority Field at Mile High to pick up his tickets on Wednesday.

Across town, at A Lewis Tickets, ticket broker Candy Lewis' phones are ringing off the hook.

"These tickets are going out as quickly as they're coming in," Lewis said.

Broncos fans are calling to buy and sell their Super Bowl tickets, some four times over face value.

"This game is going to be one of the biggest Super Bowl pricing that you've seen," Lewis said.

According to Razorgator.com, when the Broncos went to the Super Bowl in 2014, tickets averaged around $3,900 10 days before the game.  Then just two days before the Super Bowl, temps plummeted and so did the average price to $2500.

Lewis said don't count on a drop this year, now is the time to buy.

"Last year's Super Bowl, there were two number one seeds...ticket prices went 10-thousand dollars the week of the game, they would not drop," Lewis said.

Analysts said wealth in the Bay Area is driving up prices and demand.  Broncos fans are also eager to see Peyton Manning win another Super Bowl and are hoping for a fairytale ending to a season that's been a rollercoaster of ups and downs.

"You're starting to see that magic sort of come back.  I think that's just kind of the cool thing, you can kind of feel it," Novak said.
