DENVER – Loveland Ski Area will open Friday for the 2019-20 season – becoming the third ski resort open in Colorado.

The Chet’s Dream lift will start running at 9 a.m. The ski area says three trails – Catwalk, Mambo and Home Run – will make up a single 1,000-foot run people and ski and ride from the top of the mountain to the base.

Early-season lift tickets will cost $75 for adults and $32 for kids aged 6 to 14. The ski area will be open seven days a week until May from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Arapahoe Basin — just over Loveland Pass from Loveland Ski Area — opened two weeks ago a day before Keystone Resort opened. Loveland opened last season on Oct. 20.

“Our snowmaking team has been working around the clock to get the mountain ready and all of their hard work is about to pay off,” said COO Rob Goodell. “Mother Nature chipped in with almost a foot of snow during this last storm cycle and that was the boost we needed. Winter is officially here and we can’t wait to celebrate the start of another season.”
