Louisville hospital put on lockdown while police investigated threats

A man was arrested Saturday morning for making threats to a south Louisville hospital.

Louisville Police say, just before noon officers were dispatched to Avista Hospital for reports of a man threatening to go inside and shoot everyone.

The hospital was placed on lockdown while officers searched for the man making the threats, according to Louisville Police Corporal Phil Lukens.

Police were able to find the suspect who was making the threats and arrested 50-year-old Hugh McPherson at his home.

No weapons were found. McPherson faces charges of False Reporting and Harassment.
