LONGMONT — Police are searching for a missing 26-year-old in need of medical attention.

Isaac Alexander Ibanez was set to start a new job in Longmont, but never showed up, said Longmont Police Det. Mark Cooper.

He was last seen getting into a white or gray pickup truck around the 5200 block of Lee Hill Road, which sits in an unincorporated part of Boulder County west of Boulder. His 2000 Subaru was found abandoned on the same block May 23.

His parents said he enjoys exploring the western part of the United States, Cooper said.

Ibanez called his parents once a week leading up to May 21. Then, the calls stopped and his parents called police.

His parents told police that their son has an ongoing medical issue and needs treatment. Cooper said Ibanez also made a couple suicidal statements to his parents and ex-girlfriend.

Cooper said police do not suspect foul play.

Ibanez is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, has brown hair and brown eyes.

Police encourage anybody who has seen Isaac or knows of his whereabouts to call the Longmont Police Department at 303-651-8501 and reference report #18-4796.
