Longmont man arrested after double shooting that left one dead

SEIBERT, Colo. — A Longmont man was arrested following a double shooting that left one person dead in the Kit Carson County town of Seibert Saturday.

Israel Camacho Anderson, 34, is accused of shooting two individuals after an alleged verbal confrontation escalated. One of the victims died as a result of the shooting. The other is currently hospitalized but is expected to survive.

Anderson is being held at the Kit Carson County Jail on charges of murder in the second degree and first-degree assault. His bond was set at $175,000.
