LONGMONT, Colo. — Authorities evacuated most of the Longmont Public Library and Civic Center Tuesday afternoon after locating a duffel bag reportedly with a suspicious note attached.

Police evacuated most of those inside the Civic Center and library while blocking off streets in the 300 block of Kimbark St. and the 300 block of Emery Street. Those evacuations and closures lifted just before 4:30 p.m.

Officials said when the call rang out, those on scene reported finding a suspicious note, but no such note was located by police.

Members of the Boulder County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad investigated the bag, learning there was no device inside.
