LITTLETON, Colo. — A three-story apartment building in Littleton caught fire late Tuesday evening, displacing residents from 18 units.
The Littleton Fire Department responded to the fire around 11:35 p.m. on Nevada Street and fought heavy flames in the attic of the three-story building. The apartment had already been evacuated.
Around midnight, the fire was deemed under control, though an extensive overhaul was needed to extinguish remaining hot spots. It was completely out by 1:50 a.m. and had left 18 apartments damaged.
More than a dozen fire units and 45 professionals from Littleton and South Metro Fire assisted at the scene.
The Red Cross was called in to assist the displaced residents.
